As more than $1 Billion in economic and industrial growth are descending upon Amory and Monroe County in the next few years from companies throughout North America, Gilmore Memorial is keeping pace as a premier community hospital with many improvements, including our $18.5 million, 2009 Women’s Center. Few hospitals which serve a community of less than 8,000 offer Neonatal ICU services and such beautiful LDRP/LDR and postpartum rooms.
For decades, Gilmore Memorial has earned our reputation of offering a combination of advanced medical services with the personal attention of a community hospital – people in our region drive past other hospitals for this treatment that has become our hallmark.
You will soon meet our physicians – we are proud to offer our patients the best medical staff for a community of our size in America. Along with modern facilities and excellent Healthcare professionals, we provide the best medical care with a “personal touch” born from our smaller town orientation. We already compete with hospitals much larger which can’t compete with this compelling combination. We aim to be the best community hospital in America that is also the best place to work, and we invite you to consider being a part of our team!

Meet Selected Department Directors:
Committed to excellence in their careers, to each other, and to our community – this is what it means to be a leader at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Our directors welcome the best physicians and staff professionals to deliver a standard of care to our service that is second to none!
"I worked at (another hospital) in Tupelo – it is very large and people can get lost there. I did not get the encouragement from people when trying to achieve goals like I have here. I also traveled to Jackson, MS, and California to work. It is extremely different in California. If it were not for the other traveling nurses there, I would have come home during the first assignment. I missed the southern hospitality. It was such a busy, impersonal place."
- Brooke Whitworth, ER Director
"Working with us can be exactly what you want it to be, professional, caring, friendly, and fulfilling. You will always know what is expected of you at work, have the materials and equipment necessary for you to do your job, receive recognition for doing good work, will always have someone who encourages your development, your opinion counts, and work with others who are committed to doing quality work enjoy the individual patient care we give – we know our patients by name." - Nancy Kitchen, Radiology Director

"Amory and the surrounding area have a great southern charm. Everybody smiles and speaks to you whether they know you or not. You get the sense that people truly care about others here. I truly love working in a hospital that is as well-respected as Gilmore Memorial and making a difference in the lives of people of our community." - Angie Wall, ICU Director
"Southern hospitality is very much alive and well in Amory, and as evidenced by our retention and 22 years average length of service, we have a great place to live and work. You will be impressed by the quality of our work and the integrity of our employees. I have raised my own family here can understand why most people that come here want
to stay." - Jerry Walden, Laboratory Director

Our commitment to all jobseekers and our future team members:
Along with a challenging and rewarding career, we also know it is important to Healthcare professionals to feel as though they fit in and are truly part of a team. You will see it here at Gilmore Memorial and throughout our community – you will become an important part of your team in a medical community that has built a reputation of excellence which draws people from outside traditional distances of a community hospital. You will be beloved here by our patients, who appreciate the care we provide. Here in Monroe County, hospital workers and physicians are still appreciated and admired. What a great place to live, work, and make new friends!
A truly authentic recruitment presentation: Unless otherwise indicated, every photo was taken specifically for this recruitment website presentation. Unlike many hospital websites and recruitment material, here there are no "stock" photos or other images that aren’t authentic. Gilmore Memorial is very grateful to our employees and directors for taking time from their days to share their thoughts and opinions for you, and for making our presentation so special. We truly appreciate them!
